Point-of-Sale Report to the Nation and STARS Webinar

The State and Community Tobacco Control (SCTC) research initiative recently released its Point-of-Sale Report to the Nation and introduced the Standardized Tobacco Assessment for Retail Settings (STARS) surveillance tool. The Report to the Nation provides a comprehensive snapshot of the tobacco retail environment and current POS policy activity across the US.  With the development of STARS, practitioners now have a uniform data collection tool for store audits that are increasingly being used by communities to better understand tobacco marketing in the retail environment.
