Dr. Matthew Rossheim is an Associate Professor in the School of Public Health at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. He has more than 15 years of experience conducting substance use research to help guide policy making decisions. His work, which includes more than 80 peer-reviewed research manuscripts and 100 scientific presentations, has influenced the development of laws from the local- to federal-levels and has been cited in reports by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and World Health Organization (WHO), as well as featured by BBC, CNN, and The New York Times. He is one of the leading public health experts on “derived psychoactive cannabis products.” His related publications illustrate how these unregulated intoxicating substances are made appealing and accessible to young people.
